بخش تکان‌دهنده مراسم دیشب سزار و لحظه‌ای که قلب را می‌فشرد حضور ژان-پل بلموندو روی سن برای دریافت جایزه افتخاری‌اش بود. وقتی ژان دوژاردن درباره‌اش شروع به صحبت کرد همه جمعیت به احترام بلموندو ایستادند. بعد مروری بر فیلم‌هایش شد و بلموندو با آن عصایش روی صحنه ظاهر شد و جمعیت در سالن چند دقیقه برایش دست زدند. برای نزدیک شصت سال همراهی با بازیگر افسانه‌ای سینمای فرانسه، بلموندویِ گدار و بلموندویِ ملویل.

چند سال پیش آخرین فیلمش را موقع اکران دیدم. فیلم ساده‌‌ای بود به نام مرد و سگش. مدت‌ها بود فیلم جدیدی از بلموندو ندیده بودم. وقتی ناگهان روی پرده آن جسم درهم‌رفته‌ی فرسوده را می‌دیدی حکم محبوبی در جوانی را داشت که بعد سال‌ها و در سالخوردگی سر راهت قرار می‌گرفت. سخت‌تر از همه شنیدن صدایش بود. تکلم برایش سخت بود و تقلا می‌کرد ‌تا چند کلمه بگوید. موقع دیدن آن فیلم نمی‌شد بلموندوی رها و دیوانه‌ی موج‌نو را فراموش کنی و آرتیست‌بازی و خل‌بازی‌هایش در فیلم‌های بنجل دهه هفتاد و هشتاد از جلوی چشم کنار نمی‌رفت. در آن فیلم‌ها به شکلی افراطی همیشه تحرک داشت و توانایی بدنی‌اش غبطه‌برانگیز بود. نمی‌شد بپذیری آن کسی که در مرد و سگش در سال ۲۰۰۸ می‌بینی همان مرد پر شر و شور دهه‌های قبل است.

حدود یک ماه دیگر بلموندو ۸۴ ساله می‌شود. از اکران آن فیلم هم حدود ده سال می‌گذرد. حس کردم دوباره در این ده سال فراموشش کرده‌ام. دیشب وقتی بلموندو روی سن با آن عصایش نیازی به کمک دیگران برای ایستادن نداشت و وقتی همان چند کلمه را گفت، به نظرم رسید با این فیزیک فرسوده و با این موهای سفید هم هنوز منش و لبخندش جوان است. هنوز می‌تواند جماعتی را منقلب کند و میشلِ از نفس افتاده هنوز از نفس نیفتاده.
